The education and training in community college can provide a stronger opportunity to higher paying and middle class jobs. However, only 30 percent of students who start a certificate or associate’s degree earn a credential within three years. The students simply need a leg-up. End homelessness among community college students will not only benefit students many times over, it can also benefit the local community by reducing both racial and socioeconomic inequality which can add diversity in the workplace.
